Re:The Admiral Collingwood
She was built @ 1933 at Cockenzie, Scotland.
She did indeed belong to The 'Naughty Boys School' T.S. (Training Ship) Wellesley or Wellesley Nautical School, in Blyth.
She was purchased by the Trustees of the School and used to train the boys in Seamanship. Many of the old lads fondly remember her.
There was a Figurehead of Admiral Collingwood at the entrance to the school.
In early 1970 the vessel was sailed (by the lads of WNS) to its original building yard at Cockenzie on the Firth of Forth for a refit.
Details after that are unknown but thanks to this Forum, the pictures of her at Eyemouth have been found.
What we would like to know is where the boat was between 1970 and now.
Any information or pictures would be very much appreciated. We have a few old pics of her if any members are interested.
thanks
