I really agree with you Ringnetman, it is how they are looked after and how much time and cash you have to spend. I'm lucky that I have time ( I hope!) but not enough money to spend as I would like to really bring my boat up to speed in all ways . However it is bit by bit and try to keep her sound and address problems as they come along.
all around the uk are failed projects , wrecks on beaches , rotten hulls on moorings, boats with awol owners in marinas i bet many of these owners had good intentions
Chris there's a boat I think it's the other site called MARY ANN BRD423. steaming at Canna if you can find her have a look at her deck.

ringnetman, saw pic of deck you mentioned should have my deck looking a bit more like that in a couple of weeks , got an idea about masts too , wheel house is staying put for a while ,now that  both my kids are now full time drains on my finances , bloody students' in my day ......... etc etc .

what a wonderful stream of comments
would be brilliant if Jasmine's current owner got to read them
    keep it up guys
its another 'vertical traveller' I guess - does more miles each year going up and down on the tide than it does going forwards

mind you, best get me finger out as I'm almost getting to that point as well!
