Grimsay built boat Siolta CY 243 port side stripped of planking frames and ribs ready for new planks to be fitted.
You have got your work cut out there for you !
we'll he'll have to cut it oot afore he can replace .............lol
I only took her out to replace a few ribs and re-engine her! only meant to be outa the water for 2 mnths lol that was in march!!! 
its been like a scab you keep picking and picking at it till there aint much left!! 
but the grimsay boats are defo worth it to good to scrap!!

Carnan they built bonny boats in Grimsay are they still building boats??.
Yeah they have a new boat shed at Kallin and a full time boatbuilder/ craftsman. He was trained up by one of the Stewarts that have been building the boats for decades. He built a 22ft double ender last year for someone in Harris, but there isnt a huge demand for new wooden boats nowadays. But they take on and train people at the boat shed so its nice to know the skills involved in building these stunning boats will be around for years to come!
