[bitter end]

An elderly Fisherman is stopped by the police around 1am, and is asked where he is going at that time of night.

He paused, breathed deeply and replied, "I am going to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body and the family environment."

The officer then asked, "Oh really? Where and who is giving that lecture at this time of night?"

The  Fisherman replied, "Just follow me home and meet the wife ! "
