A warning of severe winds has been issued for the far north of Scotland and the Northern Isles for Christmas Day.
Gusts of 80 to 90 mph are likely across the Northern Isles, with a risk they could reach up to 100 mph in the north of Shetland.
The Met Office has issued an Amber alert for Sunday morning through until Sunday night.
It said transport and power could be hit and structural damage was possible.
