This was the view of one prominent market user today who said that the only question mark in terms of quota exhaustion was saithe with a number of producer organisations expected to end their coley catching for the year possibly within days.

“The expectation is of reasonable fish supplies right up to Christmas with the possible exception of saithe. The majority of the POs will probably close for saithe very soon, “ he added.

Market demand has continued to be “quite buoyant” maintaining a generally optimistic note this   year and the view in the industry is that there has been more price consistency this year with less of an impact of seasonal fluctuation.


I always see both sides of the argument, the one that's wrong and mine.....
