A legal loophole is turning Scottish fishermen into "gangmasters of the North Sea"
The International Transport Federation claim comes after an MP raised the issue of forgien fishermen's visas in the House of Commons.
Aberdeen North MP Frank Doran said Scottish fishing fleets "may be flouting the law" by hiring Filopinos and Indonesians to work in UK waters.
At least 1,000 are believed to be on Scottish and Irish boats.
The allegations follow the fatal fire on board the Vision 11 in which two Filopino crewmen and one Latvian died.
International Transport Federation co-ordinator Norrie MacVicar said the industry should be "ashamed of itself" for continuing to "exploit" immigrant workers.
The non-EU workers, who are paid much less than those from the EU, are brought in on transit visas, but work in effectively Scottish waters.

you mean that if its Scotland's waters its also Scotlands oil and Scotlands fishstocks? see how far you get with that theory, on a serious note i know there probably are one or two, but i'd hate to think any scottish or irish skipper underpays or mistreats their foriegn crewmembers.
And their teeth will be blunted like lions and they will be cast away on whirlwinds and such!!!!
