Was wondering if anyone out there had any photos of the Grampian Monarch or the Grampian Warrior which sail out of Aberdeen in the 70s and 80s. Bob Catto was the skipper of both and was in the North Star Office. My father was chief on both of them

Would be 1999/2000 I sailed on her, was a captain from hull if I remember right Ali Bali or something like that and the chief was guy from Manchester or something like that, and the motorman was an ex submariner scouser.   A guy from our village was first mate Cameron Kerr.

That Grampian Monarch was not the original Monarch that Bob Catto was skipper of in the 70's North Star sold her in 1978 ( I think ) and he took over the brand new Warrior.

The Grampian Monarch that was the standby boat with North Star was built in Norway 1968 the MYREFISK III stern trawler 1982 converted to S/B the MYREVAG then sold 1989 to North Star GRAMPIAN MONARCH  they sold her on and she became EGS  SURVEYOR. Think Alli Bali stayed in Nairn passed away a few years ago

The man you want to get hold of is Jim Pottinger. He has pics of both boats in their fishing days. In fact he might have posted them in the shipsnostalgia site
