to be sung to the music of maggy may by rod steart,
Wake up Davie, its Ricki and I got something to say to you
It's late September and the Shangrila is now painted blue
I know I keep you amused but I feel I'm being used
Oh Davie I couldn't have tried, any more
You led me away from my new site, just to save you from being alone
You deleted johns pic and that's what really hurts
The morning sun when it's in your face really shows your age
But that don't worry me none in my eyes you're everything
I laughed at all of your jokes my love you didn't need to coax
Oh, Davie I couldn't have tried any more
You led me away from my new site, just to save you from being alone
You deleted johns drawing and that's a pain I can do without
All I needed was a friend to lend a guiding hand
But you turned into a twat and
mother what a twat, you wore me out
All i did was wreck your head
and in the morning enough was said
Oh Davie I couldn't have tried anymore
You led me away from new home 'cause you didn't want to be alone
You stole my heart I couldn't leave you if I tried
(Really long Guitar Bit)
I suppose I could collect my books and get on back to school
Or steal my daddy's cue and make a living out of playing pool
Or find myself another site that doesn’t want anybody banned
Oh Davie I wish I'd never seen your site
I made a first-class fool out of you
But your as blind as a fool can be
You stole my heart but I love you anyway
(guitar bit)
Davie I wish I'd never seen your site
I'll get unbanned, one of these days

oh no, why oh why oh why?
this sort of thing usually ends in tears, pronounced teers, or tares, depending on what you should be doing while reading it or not paying attention and trying to think up one of your own, then you might end up with a teerin or tarin, whatever next? jammy's song for Mr. McMinn "you build up my sensors" to the tune of john denvers "you fill up my senses", i wouldn't dare write the rest not being familiar with mr mcminn but if and i'm only saying if, he's like any i've had experience of the last line would have to be "come bill me again!!!" but i couldn't possibly, wouldn't be fair on someone who from what i've read elsewhere is a good sort.
or "una pull oan ma blanket" for that crewman that you can never get out of his bunk, from jonathon king, typical of the name, any king i ever dealt with you always ended up getting screwed, wee queenie joke there!!!!
or anything from middle of the road for all those clean net twinners!!!!
or how about one for one of our newest members? " rock the boat, don't rock the boat davie, rock the boat, don't tip the boat over"
can't resist one for the big loon fae carradale " Hi Ho Silver lining"
i'll stop there or i'll be here all day, easy seen who was a radio DJ for nine years!!! and yes afor you ask, i was reported to the Radio Authority three times and eventually banned for being too outspoken

oh no, just when you thought it was safe with quiet waters, the temp rises with the arrival of sweltered, our newest member all the way from clearwater florida, i'll need to look out a pic of him, but beware, the FO title you give to new members really does apply to him

don't know how to take that? bit too much of the original still in it for me, think davie's second draft would have taken it a bit further if he wanted.
always thought the song a bit of a dirge myself, used to hate doing it, showing my age now, i'm watching one of those timelife ads on telly, great songs, jukebox memories, all classics from 50's and 60's theres just been one by someone called peggy march and it suits ricki to a "T" he sings it every week when he spots the Aeolus or the Islander, its called "I will follow him" or what about with the whole lamlash thing? "just one look" or "will we still tow here, tomorrow?" or a ricki classic? ricky nelson that is "poor little fool" or lee andrews and the hearts "try the impossible" ?
