65p a litre in the Outer Isles from council bunkers according to someone I spoke to tonight from Leverburgh think its about the same on Skye as well
Some people accuse me of thinking the world revolves around me, but it doesn't. It revolves around the Sun which shines out of my arse.

Fuel here from today 57p with duty, 47p duty free.
Yachts are topping up here daily before new duty rates come into force Nov. 1st for pleasure craft.
They, pleasure craft, will however be able to claim back from HMCR a %age for use as heating fuel aboard at appropriate rate.
As usual and this will be no surprise,
HMCR are unable to collect the monies paid by pleasure craft for fuel to the suppliers due to their computors not being upgraded, they have told suppliers that this situation will be rectified, but could take a year to upgrade their computors.

it's been decided that you can claim upto 40% back as used for domestic purposes, heating/cooking/generator etc, but the whole system is so vague as to the whos' hows whys and wherefore duty is getting paid. I imagine a lot smaller boats will just pay it and not bother claiming it back, it'll probably be a huge series of hoops to jump through.

53p without duty in Girvan on Friday... I know cause I paid it......... Scottish fuels computer says we owe them nearly £1600 but that is impossible cause it is paid for when filled every Friday... So was in trying to sort it out with Big Davie.....The computer say's it but they are unable to produce corresponding invoices....... And the price has not gone down because they have to wait until their tank is refilled to pass it on.... shame they didn't do the same when the price was on it's way up........."God I hate fuel company's"..........
That's "Fiona's rant o the day"
