I hope they find him, were they sprating ? I thought i saw here just out of the bay this morning on my way to work.

They had just started spratting again at the end of August after having a full refit at Galmpton.

Confirmed in the press that the missing man is Geoff Ingram the skipper owner of the Sarah Jayne. He was 20 year lifeboat man who had been decorated for his brave service.

I'm afraid so, Exmouth lifeboat stayed until the bitter end, he'd been on her crew for 20 years. Can only think he was trapped in the wheelhouse, like you say terribly sad :-[

not the best news but at least the family can now come to terms maybe
well done to all who helped this happen it shows community,s can still pull together
