Nothing under that name on the EU Trawler Register - either current or historical.

Yeah i had a look on there as well VT, the only thing i came up with was a rescue by the coastguard of a boat with that name but that was an angling charter boat, hit the navigation buoy going into Ramsgate, is the spelling correct Roland?

Seafish are the most useless bunch of w**kers on the face of the planet, the survey we paid 900 odd quid for was an embarrassment considering the surveyor wrote that our boat was sandwich construction was just unbelievable as its single skin, they took money off us  in January they sent surveyor in April reluctantly , who spent 20 minutes looking at the boat and that was it, then paper work took weeks to appear and treating us as if it was our problem.
Its people like that that should be out of jobs lazy, inconsiderate, self important f**ks
Anyway good luck with the surveys etc and all the best with fitting her out feel free to post pictures as you are refitting her

the boat you had surveyed was it under 10 mtrs and built before 2007 ? if so did you do a full refitt for the survey as im not sure weather to get them in before i get to deep into it and they say they want changes to it or just fit it out and then get them in  ?

yeah our boat is under 7 if you look at the picture Bajin BA777
www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150371940871438.405617.620111437&type=3&l=6f9e12b115 , it had never been commercial.  they will be a lot more lenient on the hull construction as there is no requirement to show humidity and temperature during curing due to the age of the vessel.   Personally i would get them in first before you start and get exactly what they want written down so the slippery f**kers won't move the goal posts, application form here http://www.seafish.o...n (issue 8).pdf   having been registered before should help you also from a reputable builder will also help, contact them as they may well have a copy of a build standard they built it to
The will look at the integrity of the hull, they will want to probably see sub division forward acting as a collision bulkhead one aft again acting as a collision bulkhead, think it is a metre from each one, but again sometimes these might be negotiable depending on the vessel usage
And as much as you want to slap these 1 cell beings just keep your head and then just do as they ask, just remembering the fact most of these surveyors failed at everything else which lead them to become surveyors and it makes them feel great when they can tell people what to do
Just look to the MCA under 10 m code as well, have the correct bilge pumps, bilge alarms, shit like that written down and you will need a risk assessment drawn up for your boat can do it yourself, i did one for ours in about 10 minutes will send you a copy here is the link to the mgn for the safety equipment you will need http://www.dft.gov.uk/mca/1813_a.pdf

Great thank you , Have to  speak to the main man on thursday so will try and get a post inspection so as any work i need can be done from the start , Better to work with an empty boat than have to start stripping it out just to fit their requirments . Many thanks Ro

I had a seafish inspection 3 years ago when I was refitting  a fishing vessel  if you call them they can send you a list of requirements witch I used to work of witch was a good guide  I carried out so much work and then got them in to do an inspection before I got to far in and they came and done there inspection gave me a report with changes required and I carried them out and he came again when he was in the area and signed it of it cost 760 pound but if I had finished the boat then invited him I would have had to cut open the deck and other areas  so my advise would be get seafish in earlier rather than later it will save you money in the long run good luck
