The most northerly harbour on the west coast of Scotland.

Home to a selection of small and medium sized fishing boats of the Scottish whitefish fleet.

Busier more in the winter than the summer, there are markets held on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the year. Other harbour facilities include ice plant and refueling.

Becoming increasingly popular with leisure craft, particularly following the construction of new floating pontoons for visiting yachts.

Local facilities include Spar shop, post office, petrol station, hotels and bar serving tasty meals.

Sadly no longer a Fishermen's Mission - this closed at the end of 2008 and has remained empty since then.

The harbour office can be hailed on VHF channel 14.
