if the boat has never been a registered fishing vessel you will need a seafish survey on it, details of what is required are here http://www.seafishma... Inspection.pdf
About £500 for the Seafish survey, plus any remedial work they require you to complete before the issue the certificate

After that you will need to register your vessel name and apply for registration number from your homeport
http://www.ukshipreg...ing-changes.htm

When that is completed you will need to under go a MCA survey, which you can find the requirements for here http://www.mcga.gov....3_amended_5.pdf

Course requirements
Sea survival
1 day first aid
Basic fire fighting
1 Day Safety Awareness and Risk Assessment
Have a look locally these courses are being run free of charge in some areas
