I wonder of any of the folk on the West side can help me with info on an annual golf trophy competed for at Ardglass called the Silver Herring Trophy. I believe that this may be one of these trophies originally awarded to fishermen and now passed to a local sports club when its relevance has gone with the fishery to which it applied.
I'd like to know what it looks like and whether there are winning boats names on it. A photo would be great.
Any help would be much appreciated.
