dinna look very big right enough, i saw the new boris nets that jamie buckets got awhile back and they looked gie wee, i made a clean net many years ago during a week long course the boys from the flume tank in hull were giving in the trappers store at the bottom of the glebe, must have been 1981, i only signed up to get a week ashore as maist ofthe others at it coona mend at all, all i can mind was they were a piece of piss to make and it only took my group a day to make and ended up finishing the other groups for them as they were clueless, they were meant to be able to be towed by a boat with aboot 75hp engine, i canna mind if your old man got offered them for the belmar? i recall his name being mentioned as the belmar had a gie wee engine in her had she not? if not i don't know where they went, or who attended, one of jeff's boys, john wilkieson fae gigha, neil mcgeochan and bomba fae tarbert are the only ones i remember, tho there were mair than a dozen including two fae the ayrshire side i seem to remember. hankies oh nets but they'd have made great twins, i used my newfound skills to make a hopper net that i was still using when the QW went away, was used 80% of the time on the jasmine and then the QW and only ever needed the  ropes replaced a couple of times, the netting being better quality than the harkass ones that were the rage at the time. how did ye get on wae yer wire complaint?
