LOADED WITH FOOD FOR THE FISH FARMS.
the problem is rudder nobody can afford to be on the deck of a prawner for 10-20 k a year ,boys have commitments ,the days of working all week for nothing are long gone, hence the exodus to get offshore where they get a guaranteed wage EVERY week, this is happening right round the coast no just mallaig,
i see that right enough hb. going by the ammount of pictures on here of empty harbours,
well not empty but filled with yachts now and marinas.
theres one at mallaig now too.
theyre taking bets whether it will survive a northerly gale or not?

leisure industry is booming, regardless of where you build marinas theres always people who will take a berth, at an average of £2k per boat per year you can see why harbours are diversifying into marinas ,
local fleet down to about a dozen boats ,and 3 of them are up for sale.
