Olive Tree taken from the Faithful
built for Alex Duthie Ayr (ex Fraserburgh man) BA 127 - he had mainly a local crew -couple of east coasters back and forwards - I remember the incident you are referring to re the derrick - it was my youngest brother that was involved - my father a crew member at the time
I THINK THIS BOAT FINISHED UP IN KILKEEL SHE WAS BOUGHT BY HUBURT ANNETT AND THEN SOLD TO JOE AND SAM BROWN THE ANNETTS PUT A 270 VOLVO IN HER A NICE WE BOAT MADE A LOT OF MONEY IN IRELAND
Think she had an east coast (or originally eastie) crew. BA reg though i think?
One time they let the boy lift the landin derrick and he got a turn wrapped up on the winch drum...snapped the derrick!
only way to learn though!! .
