Smashing picture of a fine boat.

She caught and carried a lot of herring this one.
owned in 1970s by Wm.Hughes and others, Rothsay
Skipper of the old Loch Ness said he passed two submarines when he was coming down the sound of Mull, one was called the Oak Lea and the other was called Village Belle this is one of them SUB'S the old Village Belle TT.
What became of her cant find her after c,1976
Not 100% sure, but I think she sank(even less sure, but down Liverpool way vaguely rings a bell)Keith Todd the no.2 harbourmaster in Rothesay bought her off the Hughes brothers and used her for a while for angling trips, sold her in the early/mid 80s or there abouts.
if me memory serves me well. the maid done a couple of years on the mail run b4 the terranova, she took a bump on the bows and had a lot oh planks replaced. had a gowd awfull nose fittet to wheelhouse to accomodate a radar, was the gibsons who had her b4 keith, think it was jakie cowie who skippered her then, she would still do the odd mail run when terranova was indisposed. ...........correct me if am wrong. a few brain cells have gone awol over the years
has anyone got photo of the terranova, fished alongside in the clyde in sixties she ran he fished to ayr market she was very fast boat.
