Weatherhead-built Margaret Alison ... repainting behind the pier at Port Bannantyne (Bute) as I recall ... about 1982
Reg No was PL70. Had an IOM registry because family lived at Kirkmichael way back then
sure a saw this one in a yacht magazine years ago about being converted think a remember something about the wheelhouse coming from another boat might be wrong though sure it was margaret alison.

She was an Alex Noble 40ft boatie
Was owned by the Scottish Marine Biological Association (SMBA) out of the Cumbraes for years
Got stove in mid 70s and laye behind the pier at Millport with a bloody great hole in her
Anyway, was fixed up and put back to work
Wonder where she is now? If she exists at all of course!
