Catherine Rose - FH 503, built by Percy Mitchell in 1979.
I think she was built to replace the Celtic Mor - FH 403 when she was sold to Scotland the first time.
She then spent many years in Mevagissey before being sold to one of the Yorkshire ports in about 1992.
Don't know what happened to her after that.
I have to say I wasn't certain Martin, must have been a pretty similar to boat to Britannia, I know Percy built one and John Moore built one of the others. O0

She does look pretty much the same as the Britannia IV Daz, similar size & built around the same time. I prefer the Brit's wheelhouse though. Don't suppose this one caught a fraction of the fish either  O0
I suppose they all served their apprenticeships at Percy Mitchell's so all have similar ideas.
She got the chop this one be 96 I think. Well I say she got the chop, there's one or two boats that were decommisioned around that time that are still in one piece (more sense?).

Sorry Daz, I just re-read your comment about the Britannia's, yes Mitchell's built III & John Moor built IV. A couple of recent(ish) photos of Britannia III next door.
I wonder if the old Britannia that used to be at Southdown was ever one of Leach & Turner's early boats  O0

This one was built at Gary Mitchells in 78/79, she was Iroko on Oak and had an Iveco in her. I was working in the yard when she was built, there was two built at the same time, the other one was a forward w/house which went to the Scots west coast and was sadly lost just over a year ago, I think this one was built on spec with a local man interested in her but ended up going crabbing out of Falmouth first with the name Etoile skippered by Pat Crockford, then she fished out of Meva with Andrew Trevarton for a few years if my memory serves me correct before disappearing off my radar!
