My mother's book-keeping effort.My first wage of £2-10/- or £2-50p Expenses include £1-10/- or £1-50p in feet and inches,for the hire of an old Coastal Radio,13/- (65p) for a bag of coal,and £1-4/- or £1-20p for the carriage from Dunbar to Eyemouth on 12 boxes of prawns.The two batteries at £5 each were ex army metal cased jobs that were bought from a scrappie in Bonninton Road Edinburgh.He went by the name of "Wingy" Robertson as he only had one arm,and was a great buyer of all things ex services.
