Bonnie Lass LH 64

Bonnie Lass LH 64

At the creels Summer 1966.The Old Man in the wheelhouse and Noel "Fid" Wight on deck. In later years Noel had the Penorva and the Rose at the prawns and the clams, and was cox of several Dunbar life-boats over a 20 year period. A grafter and a helluva decent lad to sail with, many a good laugh we had with him.

note the trawl conversion, the sweeps were still manilla rope(ex seine net rope)
and the V BOARDS hanging over the side aft at the jeenie!!
it was still a year or two before the trawl gallows appeared on the boats, and combination sweeps started to get used..
he wis skipper of the orion when we worked out of dunbar in the late 70s
