hi, im duncan macphail fae lerwick, been a member since 2011. moved tae shetland 20yr ago .Was brought up at portincaple in loch long and spent most of my time aboard the Jeannie Stella school holidays an any chance i had, fond memories o jock an peter who built her on the slipway doon fae our cottage. wis at school wi alex gillies an lachie paterson who stayed at Finnart. He wis hardy alrite, peter and his boy john were in lerwick a few yr back an bought another  boat "The Emerald" wis gona do her up an go back tae the fishing. I see the "jeannie Stella " in tarbert now renamed.

Auld peter's nephew owns the"Lucy J" no been doon 4 awhile bt noticed it on the portincaple website, ithink that mite be the one ur thinking of.Auld peters boat is the"Emerald" fae lerwick now the"osprey" RO22. his cousin owned an auld steel boat TT i think she wis "Fidelty" dina tink hes at the fishing now.

Yes, they have done up the Emerald...now called Osprey flying under jeannie stellas old call sign RO50
