Top photo, redding the ring net.
Bottom photo, on the beach in front of Duncarrach
Here we go again... Can you ID any of the boats in the top early 1930's photo. The modern(at the time ) ringer with the broad white line could be the Smiling Morn TT50. But the others could include Village Maid TT21, Prime TT27, Nancy Glen TT10, Seonaid TT32, Mary Bain TT35 or a whole load of others. TT75 alongside what could be the Prime I cannot even guess. Crechan, Big Dougie, Dowler, JT and others may be able to shed light on them.
i think ul need to get a message to robert ross jt dowler to old for this
No bad coming from methusalah!
Never seen any of William Hamilton's work before, I'll be up at the house pestering you John for a look at this book! It looks really interesting.

Got these clippings from Kay, Morna MacDougall's daughter, Brian.
Don't even know if it is possible to source the original book.

One of the older generation told me it could be the Prime as she had offset wheelhouse.
James...Willing Lad TT83 same as the Maisie. Built in Ireland, TT 1928-1940 then back to Ireland B513.
John.... Yes the Prime looks favourite, especially the position and style of the wheelhouse and the stbd stringers appear to have a piece of wood fastened above just like in the photo that Dougie M.gave me of the boat but with masts and brailer pole in place. I've tried to Google William Hamilton but no joy yet on the book.
