I reluctantly moved away from black due to the heat down below in summer being spectacular and two of the top three planks are oak which as you know Jay is a very mobile wood with temperature. The white has been a great sucess in this respect and it has grown on me.

White is commonplace in the US among especially the trad fishing boats of California and Med countries; even in the Baltic, but not here

Sequoiah is painted Maersk blue to get away from her white uniform since built. It's pretty good and, as you know, the slightly paler blue of Danish anchor seiners is for the reason that solar heat absorption is low
