Going by the name-boards,I take it the negative/slide was scanned "arse aboot face" as we in the trade say !! I cannae actually mind Erchie having this one...did she come after the Janeil (the old FR Duthies)?

Erchie had the Janeil in the 1970's and this is well before that Shes in Blems picture wi the Nancy Glen, the Silver Fern and the Boy Lorne so that must make this late 60s - thought he had the Tudor Rose at that tiem mind you.

Aye,you're right, the Janeil was in the '70s.I think it was around the Summer of 1971 that the Tudor Rose was tied up inside the North Pier with the 112 smashed up.Hector Euan and Dougie "Sampson" were aboard her, cannae mind on seeing Erchie there then. She was sold a while after that.(just had a look at Brian Ward's book and he says they got the Tudor Rose in '68)
Looks more like Euan than the rigger.

Archie, Hector and Albert were aboard this one late 60's, this is just after the big fishing in Loch Sween. Archie was first on it but missed most because of hellish winch bother, got the Tudor Rose not long after, Euan was aboard her as Albert went back to his roots at the ringing aboard the Anne Marie, had enough of tailing at North End of Gigha for £5.00 a stone for lrge and 10shillings for small, wise man!!
