Interesting to see that they didn't bother with painting the North Western side of the Low Lights - either that or it has been blackened with the smoke from the steamers. Also the advert for Andrews Liver Salts made me smile - need for that following a night in the low Town pubs me thinks

Yes thats the stuff - supposed to settle the guts
Of course it was invented in Newcastle - St Andrews Street, thus the name!
