Hi Terry - she was last in the Tyne during August 2009.

Hi Thomas - yes, hopefully we will see some more soon.

    Regards

    Steve
i thought i had seen her somewhere before. i am not sure if she was the one with the female captain.
SOPHIE LOUISE IS THE ONE WI A FEMALE CAPTAIN TERRY......... 8:) :police: :police:
is that some kind of anti-pitching stabilizer fitted on her stern??
She was in PD used as a floating hotel, a year or two ago. Very famous ship .. as "Stockholm", she was involved in a serious collision with "Andrea Doria" in 1956 not far from New York in thick fog. Both ships were steaming at around 20 knots. A major rescue operation resulted in 1660 being saved. Sadly 46 died. The "Andrea Doria" sank. "Stockholm" .. repaired, rebuilt, etc. is still sailing 63 years on. Built 1948 (year I was born)!
i forgot about the sophie louise paul is he still dressing up . that closet must be some size because he still hasnt managed to come out yet

"is that some kind of anti-pitching stabilizer fitted on her stern??"

Yes it was an addition made after she was built and gives added stability in a following sea and cuts down on vibration through the hull - see this diagram of her as the original Stockholm:

thanks for the info steve, etc. ive seen fins on old yawls at water level, put on to help stop the boat drawing their stern down when steaming, same kind of principle,,
