these could be the ones that were sunk in marsascala as an artifical reef i dived there in 2004 and there are 2 or 3 tugs sank in a line about the size of those

I wouldn't care to say for certain,but they look like the 65ft.Canadian built TANAC tugs,a few of which found their way to Malta.Built in 1944 the name was probably derived from T=tug and ANAC=part of Canada in reverse.
