Interesting info gee bee,there is a green light on the Faskadale rocks now.It has been there as long as i can remember,maby some of the older guys will have a year for it going there if not im sure Stevei Hightower will look it up for us.
I think she went into Ullapool with a shot of herring. No price, so set out for Mallaig. Same situation, so left for Oban, and never arrived. I remember the buoy.
Bob some fellows in Mallaig maintained she never got as far as Faskadale I remember John Smith the Spindrift saying he picked up bits&peaces out of her when they were looking for her, Arisaig point. Sad men trying to make a living.
Thanks. Sad story. Think they recovered some of the men's bodies near Sleat Pt. about a week later.
I remember my father telling me she had a National main engine, and also a 30 hp engine with a small prop coming out the port side aft, for shooting drift nets!!
