Ring netters lying at Carradale on the inside of the old iron pier designed by Brunell. It had two levels, one for the steamers and one for the fishing fleet. Not sure of the vintage of this, but have estimated late 40s, but may well be the 50s. No idea of the names of the boats.
Good detail, so be sure and zoom in!
i've zoomed in and if i didn't know any better i'd say thats my father leaning over the side of the punt ? definately looks like his profile but it would need to be taken in the 50's as he was born in 1934, i've an old pic of boats lying in carradale which i think is on here and looks to be taken around the same time as this one, but who's to know, certainly looks like him.
Anythings possible.
can any 1 name the ringers
Afraid not!
