The Campbeltown ring net fleet dressed for the Queen's coronation on 2nd June 1952.
Mary Mclean cn193 , whats the weatherhead boat next to her ?
possibly the jessie mc kinnon which became the fionnaghal tt106 later on 50s
That a young Duncan MacAthur with his foot on the winch barrel?
certainly looks like him, and shamus standing beside him, the old guy in bunnet and big coat i recognise tho name escapes me, ten years before i was born but i'd see him standing blethering at the wall near the milldam when going home from school as a wee boy, there was a group of four or five all dressed in bunnets and big overcoats, all ex fishermen that would be standing yarning no matter what the weather was like.
Oops. 1953! Great photo tho, seein a' that varnish.
Just noticed CAMPBELTOWN shortened on Jessie, saving on paint!
