was this alert ever registered in dumfries ? i just had a phone conversation with a guy called roddy taylor who comes originally from inverness but has lived down south for over 40 years, he's delivering my new trike (yes it has an engine, no i won't need to peddle it) and he said he used to own an orkney built 36ft "double ender" as he called it, with a lister engine and it was registered in dumfries, can't remember the name of the place where she was kept during the time he had her as he launched into a tale about catching a great white shark, which lasted 17 mins, not the fight to boat then droon the shark, the telling of the story, despite my name being shaw i resisted the temptation to tell him he should have had a bigger boat.
not going to take delivery of my bike till a week on monday, i'm remaining remarkably calm despite the fact its going to have taken a full month since i bought the thing to have it registered and delivered and don't start me on the trouble i had to insure it, trike ? no, sorry, trike ? no, sorry, trike ? yes, we do, MS ? diabetic ? no, sorry, repeat that two dozen times and the trim goes off you very quickly, nevermind, the british bike insurance industry now has a pile of training tapes to use when dealing with irate scottish bikers with MS and diabetis, trying to insure trikes !!!!!!
