Wellesley II

Wellesley II

The only known picture of the Wellesley II. Does anyone know where she is now?

    Hi Graham

Looks a good enough vessel - lets hope that she still survives and that someone knows where/what happened to her  :D

As previously mentioned; this was taken between 1955 and 1967 in Blyth. I believe she was light grey/blue over dark grey/blue at the time. Twin diesels. Thats about all we know.
    Hi Graham

Has the look of an ex Royal Navy Tender/Cutter/Launch  :D

I passed the former TS the other day and it has all been demolished now, apart from the entrance gate!

Check out the photograph of her on the North Western & North Wales Sea Fisheries Committee web site  @ http://www.nwnwsfc.o...sea_prefect.jpg  - former name was BETA according to http://www.nwnwsfc.o...1/gallery_1.htm

You certainly do know your stuff. A man of few words but these were the words we've been waiting for ! Excellent piece of info. Many thanks.

    Steve

I've said it before and I'll say it again mate. This is some Forum you've got here. Absolutely first class. Thanks for the links to the photos.

    Cheers to both of you.
Graham - no, no, this is not my forum - I'm just a member - any thanks should go to the Site Boss's, Barry, Kev and James  :D

Good to see that you are at last getting somewhere with this question though - now to find out what happened to her, fingers crossed that she is still afloat.

    Regards
