Admiral Collingwood

Admiral Collingwood

Admiral Collingwood entering Blyth Harbour with the Staff & Trainess of the Wellesley Nautical School on the quayside.

    Hi Graham

Great piece of history - at least the Admiral Collingwood is still in existence, the same of course cannot be said for TS Wellesley.

Steve. You're half right about TS Wellesley. There are over 100 ex members on the Forum and we try to keep the memories alive, hence the search for Admiral Collingwood.

Crying shame Steve. A lot of Naval history got lost thanks to the arseholes in Blyth & Sunderland Councils. They let it get vandalised and all sorts of artefacts went missing before they decided to preserve it's history and grab what was left.
Now the (even bigger arseholes) at Northumberland Archives have all the documents & ledgers etc.. and theyve put a 75 year (yes 75 year) ban on anyone seeing them.
    Anyway; where's the Collingwood ?? O0

Thanks Steve. We know where she came from and now we know where she is. All we need now is where shes been
(apart from lying at Amble) since last sighted by the WNS lads in 1970.
Hopefully some of your members can shed some light on it.

Excellent Forum youve got here by the way. Makes me wish I was a Fisherman/Trawlerman O0
