Ros corr landing

Ros Corr landing in Dunbar mid 60s.Left to right James (fatso) Smith,Davie Brunton,Skipper Peter (Big Neeps) Brunton in the boiler suit,my Grandfather Bob Marr, and beside him is Robert George Brunton the lifeboat cox and skipper of the Snowdrop. The boat astern is the Harvester,a wee Millers skiff of 1950 vintage owned by Arthur Clarkson,a local businessman, and skippered by Jimmy "Young Sconny" Colllins, while astern of her is Robert "Boups" Johnstone's May Queen coming in to the pier.

She was sold for conversion Frank, and as far as I know is still on the go.Last heard of based at a marina in the North East of England somewhere, the name of which escapes me for the moment.Bonny lines on her, braw big cabin aft and a good carrier of sprats, she sat well in the water when loaded.Mr.Tyrrel built a good boat there.
this was when men still picked prawns on their knees on the deck...
the wicker baskets were used for gutting fish into only.
    pre- plastic basket time..
