    they look a decent prawn ronnie. i bet they weren't paid a lot for them either. O0
    :D Good one Ronnie- like the oldies !....don't be worrying can't think of any funny comments today as just crawled out ma sickbed again  O0
    weren,t paid a lot then and it hasn,t changed over the years,, probably getting £20 a box for small(3-4st box)
    mebey £30 a box for the big ,,,
    only advantage then was expenses were only 10% of the gross unlike now nearly 50% on some of those new twin-riggers..
    theyve more power in thir auxillaries than these boats had for towing, the boat thats landing had an 88hp. kelvin ,then boosted up to 110 hp. gardner .
    the auxs. on the new generation of prawners  =300hp.

    I think it was a 6LW that was put in when the 88 came out.Did Ronnie Smith no re-engine her? Funny enough,there was a thought in my mind that it was a marinised bus engine in her when Ronnie had her...wrong again !
