Ringers in Campbeltown Noss Head CN144

The wood looked very fresh in this photo so imagine that it was taken very early in her short life.

Built at Weatherhead of Cockenzie in 1936 and first registered on the 7th August that year for Colin Oman of Glen Lynn, Carradale and taken over by his youngest son Fred Leslie who was skippering her, on 14th March 1942. She was removed from the registry on 28th November 1946, when she was 'acquired by the Ministry of War on behalf of his Majesty' and sunk at Freetown Sierra Leon when a tank engine slipped from a broken strop and fell through her hull.

Her overall length was 49 ft and 8 tenths (43ft of Keel), with a beam of 15 ft and 7 tenths and a depth of 6 ft and 2 tenths. Her net tonnage was 21.81 and she was powered by a 66 Kelvin.

An unlucky number, later to be allocated to the ill-fated Harvest Hope.
Bonny wee ringer I have seen an other photo of her on the beach at portrigh
I forgot that was the Harvest hope's number
Mystical Rose CN 245 astern of her in the next tier.
