    Top 10 purely personal choice as they built the smaller boats, which I prefer.......if you prefer the 70 80ft boats then your top 10 will be very different. I take offence at the implication that I read women's magazines......I only look at the pictures!  We all have our favourite boats and yards and it is great that this site lets us look at such a fantastic variety.  Keep the pictures coming as your efforts to post them are appreciated by all of us.  CSP Duchess of Hamilton in the background.

    I know this boat VERY well, I was Duncan & Jimmy McArthur's boy aboard the Mary McLean for four years during my school holidays from 1976 through 1979.

    I spent some of the happiest days of my childhood with these two great men trawling for White Fish and Prawns in the Kilbrannan Sound and Clyde estuary.

    was for drying   the net    was commen in the    early years.
