    anybody no what this name means seen her in troon years ago and there was a wee bit on her name board

    Just googled it and heres what it says,

    "  A tempestuous northeast wind which blows in the Mediterranean.  "
    there are a few definitions m8 but that is the basses of it nor easter
    cant rem what bit it is in in the bible psalm .......
    Must be a western Med wind 'cos all the Eastern Med winds and gales
    have Arabic name ie El Saleeb or Kassim.
    its a weird/interesting one pete
    maybe just me that thinks that tho lol

    Spent some years in Cyprus whilst in army and have got a list
    of all the winds and gales that affect that area from Sep thro'
    to end of April.
    Apparantly they were predictable and all had names.
    ( Feb 18 is the El Shams or El Shaghira )

    skippered her for a few years late ninetys,asked owner what name meant ,think it may have been something to do with the great storm of 40 days and nights! O0
