Gems Researcher seen here in Royal Quays Marine, North Shields, North East England on 3rd May 2008.
She is in post production testing on the River Tyne before going to her owners.

Alnmaritec have had quite a few boats under sea trials at RQ in recent times - one there at the moment.

that one has possibly been tied there getting on for 5 years, unless they swap it for identical ones now and again

No....................... I think you may be getting confused by the fact that they are all made from the same material and therefore look the same. The boats are only at RQ for trials and are then delivered to their customers.
For instance I have photographed at least four different Alnmaritec boats in RQ and the Tyne during 2008/2009 including, Leda, MHB Swordfish, Speedboat and Gems Researcher.

must be some major tests needed for lying against the wall next to the hoist!
last boat was in the RQ and I never saw it move in over 3 years
