Fairlie built in 1949, the Harvest Queen leaving Tarbert with green painted hull. John Crawford photo.
Must have been a Sat morn in a hurry to get home!
Dan, See that hellish looking yacht, last one built in the yard, like a minature Southern Cross in the background.
Was she not finished about the time of Kirsteen Anne, finished the yard at the time too if I mind right.

Was that box no launched as a shell and taken somewhere else to be finished. The guy that drew the original plans was a house architect.Think work was stopped on her after we planked her and Kirsteen anne was priority, a left before KA was launched
Can remember that there was some kind of dispute with owner, when she was finished she lay up off Ardrishaig for a while. yard was being run by admimistrator to finish KA, Petie and Dadie were about that
is this the harvest queen that came to newhaven owned by steven todd,120 kelvin in her now a houseboat lying up the firth o forth
Yes
Guys,
The Harvest Queen sitting in Charleston has a raised deck and I don't think she's Fairlie build as this one was. The one in Charleston does have a 6 cyl Kelvin in it though.

Big Alan I think you are right the one in Charleston was built by Jimmy Noble the Broch 1946/47 88kelvin for Wm Manson Mallaig, MARY MANSON .OB.155?, Willie Manson sold her to Rutters Seahouses 1959/60 they called her HARVEST QUEEN, when she was sold out of Seahouses she was kicked about a bit, when she left Mallaig she was looked after as a boat should like wise Seahouses like a yacht.
