Johanna BR-10

The Johanna BR-10 was build in 1967 and still doing her job!!!
I started my fishing carreer onboard of this fine boat in 1996.

    Yes aa this is a shrimp beamer.
    But she also fishes for sole in springtime and cod in wintertime.
    18,56 mtr long and 5,60 width.

    For the moment the sole is gone from the coast.
    Shrimps are coming!!

    I don't know exactly, but the prices has dropped below 4 euro's per kilo a few weeks ago.
    So it's getting hard to get a positive result after a week of fishing...

    Its going up and down with the catches of shrimp during the year.
    Especially overhere in the south of Holland.
    Now we have had a few good weeks, but they are already over...
    Later this year in september the real shrimp season starts!!!

    We don't get much UK boats in the south of Holland, but IJmuiden, Den Helder, Harlingen and Lauwersoog do have some UK visitors once in a while.
    They have also a fleet of anglo-dutch beamers who are selling their catch in those places.
