Fjord seen here inbound to the Port of Tyne at 05.30 on 24th May 2008. Photographed from Western Quay, North Shields (North East England).

Carried on board was the Ice Maiden 1 (ex-Paardeberg) - IMO 9056894 which had been transported from Pascagoula, Mississippi, USA, to the Tyne where she will be converted by A&P into a DP3 Flotel, accommodation vessel carrying up to 399 persons. Additionally she was carrying a number of steel accommodation blocks for the Ice Maiden from Mobile, Alabama, USA.
