Last of the Scottish 'whalers'
Met Howard in TT this week, looking well and certainly never ever left anyone depressed, plenty yarns about 10minute tows and the fill of the bag, aye those were the days, where the feck was I when all this was happening
You were there JT just thinking to yerself you wouldn't be doing all that pissin about for half the money you were making at the time
I was there as well i can mind of the fun, sunday night pairing for herring, mid day pair at cumbrae peak at the sprats, bag off again and herring tail on for night, then single boat pelagic loch long for a fish then back to herring on tuesday pm. 4 seasons in 2 days Gus said !!!! also think we used as much twine changing tails as i'd done at the twin rig To be fair we shot in rothesay bay Howard took 9 lifts and all the crew aboard and all i'd to do was dodge up astern and help land !!
Also never set an alarm clock onboard for 3 months (think we might never have stopped)
