    Looks like Girl Pat and Golden Harvest lying together, most likely putting herring aboard Girl Pat to run south from Shetland. Boats were owned by brothers Peter & George Summers (Simpson's Peter & Simpson's George)

    Why would they have run all the way south and not have just landed in Shelty.

    thats the one worked drift nets when new,lot better price in f.r.normal practice if you had a good shot top up from rest of boats handle doon for next days market,us to get share of there shot for doing that

    cheers billy, I mind when keith got the way she still had the large hatch for taking the drift nets aboard,got all that changed in macduff,power block ETC..take it you were on the GIRL PAT when then this photo was taken,looks like she carried the herring no to bad,plenty steaming then no f...... quota's to worry about.LOL.....

    most times only shot twice a week,top notcher,lot of herring lot of money,changed days now
