Teal seen here on Lake Windermere - Bowness, United Kingdom on 31st May 2008.
The vessel operates as a Passenger Steamer on the Lake and was built in 1936 - owned by Windermere Lake Cruises.http://www.windermere-lakecruises.co.uk/ - she can carry 533 passengers.
Hi Pete
Looking at the Windermere Cruise site it looks like Swan is still being used, but nothing on Tern.
Teal is quite amazing given her age and its amazing that she can carry so many passengers - of course I doubt whether she carries a full load these days.
Some great old postcards of Teal @ http://www.simplonpc...mere_Teal2.html

Yes, a trip to the lakes was never complete without a boat trip in my day

Have got a photo somewhere of Teal in the old British Rail livery.
When we first went to Bowness on holiday in the early 80's they were
still part of BR.

Brings back memories of happier days. Teal was my daughters favourite so when
we were in Bowness we always had to wait for her to come in before we went
onto the lake. May have to go through the photo albums!!!
