i'm old enough to call it the haf oh sanna and wise enough to never be seen there ever again, and old enough to have been on the first boat on the campbeltown shipyard slip as i'm in a pic of her going up, aged about seven, boat was in fact the CN Albion CN 45, she was first boat to use slip, before any were built, to try out the trolley to make sure it worked ok, i have a pic of her inside the shed something i don't think any other boat ever did, not to my knowledge, plenty were built in the shed and came out and down the slip, she was the only one to go up the slip and inside before coming back out and going down the slip, so the albion was first up, first boat inside and first down, the adults in the pics are my father, uncle and the legend that was tiger hamilton, the kids, me, two of my brothers, my cousin schmout, a young soda scone, my late cousin john who was a joiner at the yard when he died of a heart attack aged 26 and one other, his byname escapes me tho i did spy him at cowal a couple of years ago with a thai wife, his name is mclaughlin, can't remember his first name but locals will know his old man who i don't know if he is still alive but used to go about pushing a bike? coogie!!!! just came to me there, oops, powercut, feck sake, power going on and off, thats all we need!!!!!!!
