i had the ship AIS traffic on yesterday & today, i watched the go through the Pentland Firth. ithaught somthing was wrong with one of them because the Sunbeam caught up with them last night and she was in by the morning but Pathway & Lunar Bow were still out, bit of a suprise seing the newer boat of the pair with problems. good picture of them
aye they lay aff i broch last nite till they got a chance t cum into pd iday we the s.e wind
So stange the new Lunar Bow has been alongside, idle for quite some time, what's happening ?

Did she suffer a major engine problem ?or was it just a case of checking out prior fishing data.
dropped a valve i think which caused a wee bit of internal mayhem ;D
heard the engine was needing replaced and it was months for a new one,  but then again its maybee been slightly exagerated by the time ive been told.

shame to have new boat tied to the wall, hope its fixed soon
Well,if a valve did drop onto the top of a piston whilst the engine is running,it can cause major damage, and if the engine is not shut down at once then the valve can come in contact with all in its way.Not a repair I would wish on anyone.I wish the Lunar boys all the best and hope to find their problems solved very soon.
probaly be a new engine cos if that happens in a car its cheaper to replace the engine(thats in a car mind)
